Declaring Non Conformities

Identifying Non Conformities:

Declare non-conformities:

  • where some part of the system is not compliant with the standard;
  • the organisation’s internal policy and procedures; or
  • with the applicable legal requirements.

Evaluating Non Conformities:

If the non-conformity is very serious, the audit team will classify it as a major non-conformity. These must be addressed before any recommendation for certification is put forward to the technical committee to consider.

If the nonconformity is less significant, the organisation only has to communicate the corrective action it is going to implement to avoid the same situation occurring in the future.
